Paljaya Promotes Safe Sanitation at the LPA Guna Nanda Orphanage

Perumda Paljaya showed its concern for the community by holding social service activities at the LPA Guna Nanda Orphanage, Cakung, East Jakarta.

This activity is part of the 'Paljaya Menyapa Jakarta 2.0' program series in the framework of Paljaya's 34th anniversary, as well as a form of commitment to sharing happiness and supporting a healthy life for the children at the orphanage.

This event was attended by the President Director of Perumda Paljaya, Untung Suryadi, along with the Director of Administration and Finance, Wihliam, and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Wahyu Mujiono.

Paljaya Provides Safe Sanitation Education

Untung stated that this community service demonstrates the company's commitment to supporting social welfare and environmental health. He explained that Cakung is currently not covered by piped services, but it is an area close to the Pulogebang sludge treatment plant.

"We want to bring benefits to the people in this area," he said, Monday (9/22).

Untung explained that the aid distributed consisted of basic food packages and money. Paljaya also used this opportunity to educate the orphanage about the importance of proper domestic waste management to maintain a healthy environment and protect the children from water-borne diseases.

"This activity not only provides material assistance but also raises awareness about sanitation. We want children to understand that their health is greatly influenced by the environment. Untreated wastewater can be a source of disease, making this education crucial," he explained.

Paljaya hopes that the public will become more aware of the importance of safe and regular sanitation.

"By maintaining cleanliness and properly managing wastewater, we create a healthy environment for children, our next generation," he stated.
